    Time Event
    4:30p
Monday night Ian soiled my comforter, prompting a mad search to find the spare so it could be washed, at which point it was decided the kittens' things could be moved out of my room. Their food dishes were moved to the kitchen, their toys to the living room, and their litter box to the bathroom. Still, they like to come in here to nap; Clarissa's asleep on my bed right now. Which means I keep my door constantly open, which is a little awkward.
Monday evening one of the jobs I'd applied for emailed me back asking for a phone interview. They said they'd call on Tuesday. Tuesday I sat in the house and waited, and they never called. Finally in the evening I emailed, seeking clarification. The guy who was supposed to call answered, apologized and said he'd email me again when he was less busy. For now, the job search continues; I'm looking at another one in California right now.
Between this kind of stress and seeing a very harrowing(but very good) movie Sunday, I decided The Dark Knight could wait another week, and went to the Hoffman today to see Mamma Mia. I wasn't expecting much, just some fun and music. Unfortunately, either the movie's sound mixer was incompetent or the Hoffman's tendency to do sound loudly messed with things, because way too many times the music overwhelmed the vocals, especially with poor Meryl. Anything with the chorus singing worked much better, and for some reason "Slipping Through My Fingers" and "The Winner Takes it All" didn't have any balance problems; possibly they didn't use as loud instrumentation. Certainly Meryl selling "Winner Takes it All" for all it was worth was worth most of the rest of the movie.
