Ended up going out both yesterday and today. The weather's much better now, though there's still a *lot* of snow on the ground. Yesterday I explored some of the shops just off South Campus, and found a comic book store with a lot of really old issues you can buy single or bulk, assorted other old singles lined up in cardboard boxes, and current releases given to you in brown paper bags when you buy them. Though packed in with the current issues are some comics that are two years old, such as the Legacy one I bought. On seeing a Star Wars comic, the guy at the counter asked if I was into Star Trek. I ended up confessing that it had been my adolescence and passing news on about the movie. Today I just wandered around South Campus because I'd never gotten a really good look at it. Just finished watching La Dolce Vita, which my sister burned for me. I never knew what to make of 8 1/2, which I had to watch for a film class, and didn't really care for the Satyricon either, but La Dolce Vita is much different, easy enough to follow, and very much still relevant today. |
